Sarah McNeil
APRN, CRNA
Sarah is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who specializes in non-surgical facial and body rejuvenation. She is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and Old Dominion University and is board certified in anesthesiology. Sarah has trained under some of the best injectors in the country and has a passion for aesthetics, patient safety, and teaching. She brings a unique quality to Westhaven, offering comfortable face and body injections with her extensive anatomy, anesthesia, and pain management knowledge.

Tara Burgher
D.O.
Dr. Tara Burgher is a Board Certified Family Physician who has been practicing in Ashe County for several years. She completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders at Appalachian State University. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Audiology at the University of Louisville. Dr. Burgher then earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University and completed a Rural Obstetric Rural Expanded Surgical Skills Track fellowship to further enhance her surgical and procedural skills.
From her training and experience, Dr. Burgher believes health and wellness is not just a medication for a health issue, but can be a combination of self-care activities such as acupuncture, massage and bodywork therapy, intravenous hydration, and medical-grade infrared sauna. Dr. Burgher thoroughly enjoys taking time with her patients to ensure that they are taking care of their mind, body, and spirit, as well as their medical conditions.
She even focuses on nutrition and exercise with her patients and strives to always nurture the whole person. These passions led Dr. Burgher to join the Westhaven team in January 2023 where she serves as our Medical Director. When she is not taking care of her patients you can find Dr. Burgher outside hiking and exploring the outdoors in beautiful Ashe County with her three children, Hank, Etta, and Gideon.
Kimberly McNeil
Pharm. D, L.E
Kimberly has over 10 years of pharmaceutical experience and provides Westhaven Aesthetics & Wellness with a wealth of knowledge related to the products and services we offer. She received her Doctorate in Pharmacy from Campbell University in 2016. Kimberly also specializes in laser services, facials, and non-surgical lift procedures.

Phin joined the Westhaven team in January 2024 where she serves as our Lifestyle Practitioner.
Phin received her BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Physician Assistant degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine. She practiced primary care for 30+ years during which time she studied Functional Medicine, combining that with her knowledge of traditional medicine, to better encourage preventative care for her patients.

After owning and operating a functional medicine practice and upon retirement, Phin and her husband, Greg, relocated to West Jefferson from the North Carolina coast. She is excited to join Westhaven as a Lifestyle Practitioner, offering consultation and guidance to optimize one’s well-being to become a more balanced, whole, nourished, and happy individual. Areas of consultation include nutritional guidance & and supplementation, aging and longevity, weight management, life balance, and more. Complimentary consultations are offered.

Jessica Rupard

Jessica Rupard brings over 8 years of experience from all aspects of women’s healthcare ranging from gynecology, family planning and infertility, among other aspects of healthcare to the Westhaven team. She is an Ashe County native who has served our local community for many years and also currently works as a Certified Nursing Midwife outside of Ashe County. Jessica believes women are the core of the family. She loves to empower women to take control of their health care and make decisions that align with their personal beliefs and values. Jessica received her degrees from both East Tennessee State University and Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky. Jessica is now practicing medicine from a more integrative and preventative medicine approach and her goal is to help women optimize their health, feel their best, and to help all of her patients take a proactive approach to their longevity and wellness.
When she is not busy working, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, Matthew, and their three children: Emma, Sara, and Etta. Her hobbies include RV camping, kayaking, and reading.
Mackenzie Sexton

Mackenzie brings over 8 years of nursing experience to the team at Westhaven. Her extensive clinical experience in Oncology brings top notch IV therapy skills to our clinic. She also works PRN in the Chemotherapy Infusion Center at our local hospital. She is dedicated to promoting health and wellness in the community, and her goal is to provide others with the opportunity to feel the best version of themselves. She will ensure your IV therapy is a relaxing, enjoyable experience.

Deva Darnell
RN
Deva is an Emergency Department nurse with over 11+ years experience in the medical field. While she loves the emergency department she also greatly enjoys providing IV infusion therapy here at Westhaven! She has a Bachelor’s of Nursing from Western Carolina University and is also a CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse). She has two amazing children- Addilyn who is 9 and Lake who is 7. Deva was born and raised in Ashe County, and feels so privileged to be able to work and serve our community as a nurse!
Debbie Bower
Meet our office mom, Debbie! Debbie retired from her “real-job” in June of 2023 & helps us in the office in a multitude of ways. She has three children- Kimberly, Carrie & Amy. Debbie enjoys seeing new and familiar faces in the office & assisting our clients. In her free time, she enjoys yard work, traveling, listening to live bluegrass music, & spending time with her daughters. We are truly blessed to have our mom by our sides both in our personal and professional lives.
Louisiane Tascher
Medical Assistant
Louisiane brings over 13 years of experience as a medical assistant to the Westhaven team. Her passion for aesthetics & wellness has followed her to West Jefferson from the Naples area of Florida. Lou-Lou is very passionate about providing quality care to patients, and always does so with a big smile. In her free time, Lousiane enjoys gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with her dogs and fiance.
